Veteran’s Memorial Park

The Veteran’s Memorial Park was created in 1955, after the completion of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. This Park honors the brave men and women of our country who fought and died in World War II and the Korean War. At the center of the park stands the memorial wall that lists just under 15,000 names of military personnel from Delaware and New Jersey that paid the Ultimate Sacrifice during World War II and the Korean War.

In the following years, other monuments were created to honor various people, places, and events with military significance.

The Park is maintained and operated by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA). We encourage visitors to come visit the park any day between dusk and dawn. The DRBA hosts special services, on Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day, to honor our brave veterans, military families and fallen soldiers. For more information on these special services please click on the Services page. dmbveteransmemorialpark.com
